About Me
I provide therapy to people who are working through anxiety, depression, and who feel stuck or lost. Counseling allows you to learn more about yourself and process the events and situations in life that may be contributing to your discomfort. Learning how to allow yourself to identify, and truly feel your emotions, helps you get through to the other side. I have a strong passion for creative outlets and believe in the importance of finding your own voice.
I grew up in a beautiful wooded area along the Mississippi River where I loved exploring my surroundings. Nature was a wonderful place to retreat to where I could listen to the what the woods had to say, and to listen to myself from within. I had always had a strong interest for music and the arts as well, which has also been crucially important in my life. I think it is important for each individual to seek and/or reconnect to what helps them listen to their own voice. I take great joy in watching and assisting others grow into themselves.
I graduated with a Masters in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from Ohio University. Prior to that, I studied Art and Design and have Bachelors of Fine Arts from Northern Michigan University. I am a board certified Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina, and currently practice in Asheville, NC.
